Mackenzie Dern is a force to be reckoned with.
The Women’s MMA divisions have no shortage of stars. First came Miesha Tate, then Ronda Rousey, then Holly Holm and Paige VanZant. What do all of these women have in common? They’re global superstars that can pack a punch.
Want to know the next big thing in Women’s MMA? It’s Mackenzie Dern.
At just 23 years of age, Mackenzie Dern is a multiple time world jiu-jitsu champion. Her most famous BJJ win came in ADCC competition in 2015, when she defeated Rizin goliath Gabi Garcia.
Making her MMA debut in July last year, Dern is already 3-0 inside the cage. She competed in LFA (Legacy Fighting Alliance) last night picking up a Unanimous Decision win. People are already calling her the next ‘Ronda Rousey’ due to her submission prowess, and we can see why:
While she’s still pretty early in her MMA career, there’s no doubt we’re going to see Mackenzie Dern in a UFC cage sometime soon.
