It was all set up for the perfect swansong for Englishman Brad Pickett.
UFC FN London was a showcase for some of the best up and coming European talent. But it was also a night for closing the chapter on one of Britain’s finest MMA talents. UFC Bantamweight Brad Pickett announced prior to UFC FN London that he would fight his last fight ever at the event.
Originally slated to fight Henry Briones, Pickett got a late replacement in prospect Marlon ‘Chito’ Vera. Vera took the fight on just 7 days notice.
Pickett made an emotional walk to the Octagon in trademark trillby hat and suspenders. The London crowd were all over the veteran fighter from the get go. Coming in to the third round, Pickett was winning comfortably on the scorecards.
