Ronda Rousey is returning to the UFC this week and taking on the reigning bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes at UFC 207 to try to regain her title after losing it over a year ago in the only defeat in her career.
After winning all 12 of her MMA bouts by stoppage, Rousey lost her undefeated streak when she was brutally knocked out at UFC 193 in November 2015 by Holly Holm.
Holm was able to expose weaknesses in Rousey’s defense that were previously not seen, and was able to achieve a stunning knockout, delivering a number of punches and kicks to Rousey that ended with a roundhouse kick to the neck.
After losing, Rousey has dedicated her time to work on her technique, while also starring in some Hollywood films. The bantamweight championship, however, failed to defend her new title after being choked unconscious by Holly Holm at UFC 196. Holly Holm then lost to Miesha Tate, who then tapped out to current champion Nunes at UFC 200.
