We are one step closer to seeing this super fight become a reality.
Dana White this morning confirmed with ESPN that Conor McGregor has agreed terms on a deal to fight Floyd Mayweather.
The UFC President said:
“Conor and I have agreed on a deal. Then you get a bunch of lawyers involved and it gets stupid.”
The news has come with huge speculation that either the McGregor camp or Floyd Mayweather’s Money Team were holding up the deal. Dana expects to meet with Mayweather’s adviser Al Hayman in ‘Vegas or L.A.’ to set a date for the fight.
“It’s either going to happen this year or it’s never going to happen at all. This isn’t something I’m gonna spend a bunch of time on. Conor wants to fight twice this year. One of those to be Floyd if possible.”
In a previous interview Dana White revealed Conor would make $75 million dollars from the fight. So Conor’s on board, and Floyd has been dropping Conor’s name in every interview for the past couple months. It’s only a matter of time before we see this fight come to fruition.
