The switch is being made more than ever recently.
Fresh off the heels of acquiring Light Heavyweight Ryan Bader and Welterweight Lorenz Larkin, Bellator have signed top UFC Bantamweight Michael McDonald.
McDonald (6-3 UFC/17-4 MMA) parted ways with the UFC just one week ago. He was once an interim Bantamweight title challenger in 2013 and fought top opposition such as Urijah Faber and John Lineker.
Michael McDonald was very vocal about fighter pay. He came out publicly in January exposing the difficulties of financing a fight camp. He took two years off from the sport between 2014-2015. Since his return to the Octagon in 2016 he was 1-1.
McDonald is an addition to a list of talented Bantamweights in Bellator. He will join the likes of champion Eduardo Dantas, prospect Darion Caldwell and vet Joe Warren.
